JOANISSE, Louis It is with the deepest sorrow that the family announces the death of Mr. Louis Joanisse at the Gatineau Hospital on September 10, 2009 at the age of 85. He was a veteran of the Second World War and a member of the Royal Canadian Legion in Hull. He served in the 17th Royal Canadian Artillery, 22nd Regiment. He was predeceased by his wife Jacqueline Joanisse (nee Madore). He is survived by his sister Laurette and his brothers Marcel and Gerard. He also leaves in sorrow his devoted friend Jeannine Pesant-Pilon, his children: Donald (Dalila Almonte), Paul, Louise (David Mackey), Denis (Denyse Goyet) and Carole (Guy Galipeau), and his grandchildren: Guy, Rene, Anik, Erin, Marilynne, Angela, Melissa, Mireya, Hugo and Ronaldo as well as many relatives and friends. The ceremony will be held at the "Cooperative funeraire de l'Outaouais" located at 1369 La Verendrye Boulevard in Gatineau on Thursday, September 17, 2009 at 10:30 a.m. to be followed by a small reception at the Royal Canadian Legion at 135 Eddy Street in Hull. The family will receive condolences at the Cooperative after the celebration. Those who wish may make donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Quebec.
