MacDONELL, Lillian Lewis,76 of Brooksville, Fla., died October 3, 2010, at her home. She was born in Brooksville and moved back from Kendall, Fla., in 1962. She was a homemaker. She was an outstanding graduate of Homestead High School, Class of 1952, as drum majorette, scholar and musician. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in History from Blue Mountain College in Mississippi, taught grade school in Ocala, Fla., and was a long-time member of the Philadelphia Church of God. She is survived by her sons, George, Sammy (Cindy), Andy (Cindy) and Danny; her daughter, Margot; and her sisters, Doris Wysong (Herb) and Mary Ann DeWitt; six grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her son, Billy. Visitation for friends will take place 6:30-8 p.m. Wednesday, October 13, 2010, at Merritt Funeral Home in Brooksville. A graveside service will take place at 10 a.m. Thursday, October 14, 2010, at Brooksville Cemetery, with the Pastor Eric Anderson officiating.
