GAGNIER, Laurette- Peacefully with her family by her side at the Ottawa Hospital, General Site, on Tuesday, November 16, 2004. Laurette Rita Gagnier (nee Leduc) of the Osgoode Care Centre, Metcalfe; formerly of Alexandria; age 97 years. Beloved wife of the late Cyril Gagnier. Dear mother of Claude Gagnier (Yvette) of Peterborough, Ernest Gagnier (late Ruth) of Baltimore, ON., Gerald Gagnier (Yvonne) of Victoria, B.C., Mrs. Colombe Neville of Alexandria, Rita (Mrs. Fred Kerr) of Long Sault, Clarisse (Mrs. Bill Yates) of Perth, Louise Gagnier (Jean-Yves Parisien) and Louis Gagnier (Carrol) both of Metcalfe. Predeceased by her daughter, Lucille MacRae. Dear daughter of the late Ernest Leduc and the late Laura Sabourin. Dear sister of Mrs. Clarisse Bertrand of Lasalle, Quebec. Predeceased by four sisters, Jeanne, Aline and Marguerite Leduc and Mrs. Pauline Bourassa. Also survived by 19 grandchildren and 21great-grandchildren. Relatives and friends may call at the Munro & Morris Funeral Homes Ltd., 114 Main St. Alexandria (525-2772) on Friday, November 19, 2004 from 2 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. and on Saturday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Finnan’s Cathedral, Alexandria, on Saturday, November 20, 2004 at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow in the Parish Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, Memorial Donations to the Osgoode Care Centre, 7650 Snake Island Road, Metcalfe, ON. K0C 2P0 or the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Ontario would be appreciated by the family. As a Memorial to Laurette, a tree will be planted in Memory Woods. A tree grows – memories live.
