The family of Louise Beauregard is greatly saddened to announce her passing on Nov. 4, 2012, following a brief hospital stay. She was born on Jan. 14, 1920, at her home in Union, to Laura (Coose) and Lionel Newbert. She worked hard through high school, earning herself a scholarship to Bay Path College in Massachusetts. Upon her graduation from college, she returned home and met her future husband, Stephen Beauregard. They were married in the spring of 1941 and lived in Benton, where they worked together to run their dairy farm and raise their five children. Louise had a zest for life and enjoyed spending time with her family and traveling, her most recent family vacation being a cruise to Bermuda in May 2012. She also enjoyed reading, watching sports and game shows on TV, and her puzzle books. She was a very kind-hearted, loving woman who accepted everyone, regardless of their differences. She touched many people's lives and will be greatly missed by everyone who was fortunate enough to have met her.Louise is predeceased by her husband, Stephen; and her four siblings. She is survived by her children, Stephen Beauregard Jr., of Clinton, Marie Philbrook and Robert Philbrook, of Clinton, Betty Spencer, of Benton, Thomas Beauregard and Kathy Beauregard, of Foil, Mo., and Paul Beauregard and Valerie Thibodeau, of Skowhegan; as well as many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. There will be no formal services. However, her family would like to invite all who would like to attend a celebration of her life at her home in Benton on Sunday, Nov. 18. Anyone who wishes to pay their respects is welcome to stop by between 12 p.m. and 4 p.m.
