LOUDON - Kenneth J. Alton, 64, died at his home in Loudon on Friday, March 11, 2011, after a courageous battle with cancer.He was born in Manchester on Aug. 22, 1946, to Joseph and Lillian (Campbell) Alton.Ken worked for many years as a maintenance supervisor and most recently was employed by North East Sheet Metal of Goffstown.Ken spent much of his life in Dunbarton and was a volunteer with the Dunbarton Fire Department.Ken's passion in life was collecting and working with farm tractors.Family members include his loving wife, Mary, of 37 years; four children, Heidi Alton of Phoenix, Ariz., Heather Alton of Bow, Eric Alton of Hooksett and Steven Alton of Port Charlotte, Fla.; and seven grandchildren, Gregory, Rhiannon, Hannah, Arel, Corey, Riley and Mackenzie. He will also be missed by his two beloved dogs Jeep and Biscuit.Calling hours will be Tuesday, March 5, from 5 to 7 p.m. at French and Rising Funeral Home 17 S.
