DOVER — Kathleen MacKay, 62, of Dover, N.H., passed away at the Hyder Family Hospice House in Dover, N.H. after a short illness on Sept. 1, 2011.She was born on Sept. 19, 1948, in Rochester to Elwin MacKay and Addie (Karcher)MacKay of Rochester. Kathleen enjoyed camping, the ocean, long motorcycle rides and yard sales. She was an avid reader and loved knitting for her family.She is survived by two daughters, Samantha (Parker) Hempfling of Dover, Jody (Parker) Buckley and son-in-law, Shane Buckley of Farmington, and one son, Paul Parker of Dover; seven grandchildren, Joey, Ian and Emma Hempfling of Dover, John and Addie Buckley of Farmington, Nathaniel and Jacob Moore of Dover; four sisters, Sharon and her husband, David Roberts of Dover, Julia and her husband, Peter Lanoix of Rochester, Betty and her husband, William Burke of Manchester, Bonnie Favart of Sarasota, Fla.; one brother, Daniel MacKay and his wife, Tracy of Wells, Maine, also several nieces and nephews.She was predeceased by both parents and a nephew, James Golightly.A Celebration of Life service will be held at the Journey Baptist Church, 7 Amarosa Drive, Rochester, N.H. at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 6.Visit www.fosters.com/obits for an online guest book.
