MANCHESTER - Jules H. Laflamme, 97, of Manchester, died Jan. 9, 2013 at Mount Carmel Nursing Home, after a period of declining health. He was born in Manchester on Dec. 6, 1915, to Ernest and Yvonne (Deschenes) Laflamme. He was a lifelong resident of Manchester. Mr. Laflamme graduated from the New Hampshire School of Accounting. He worked at Manchester City Hall as an auditor and later at Auclair Transportation as office manager and treasurer. He was an avid bridge player and enjoyed time spent at Lake Massabesic and Lake Winnipesaukee. He was predeceased by his wife, Adrienne (Auclair) Laflamme, and by two brothers, Gerard Laflamme and Ernest Laflamme. The family includes two daughters, Jacqueline Blanchard and her husband, Robert, of Deerfield and Joan Groux and her husband, Richard, of Medina, Ohio; five grandchildren, Michael Blanchard and his wife, Jennifer Landry, Denise Menard and her husband, Michael, Jeffrey Groux and his wife, Kathleen, Susan Dowd and her husband, Patrick, and Douglas Groux and his wife, Lou Anne; seven great-grandchildren, Ashley, Scott, Tyler, Kyle, Olivia, Jack and Avery; a sister, Claire Bernard and her husband, Walter, of Williamstown, Mass.; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. . SERVICES: There are no calling hours. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Wednesday, Jan. 16, at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph Cathedral Chapel, Lowell Street, Manchester. Burial at a later date will be at Mount Calvary Cemetery, Manchester. Memorial donations may be made to St. Vincent de Paul Society and sent to St. Joseph Cathedral, 145 Lowell St., Manchester 03104.
