Joseph Haggerty, 81 GEORGETOWN -- Dr. Joseph Michael Haggerty, 81, passed away June 18, 2014, at his home in Georgetown. Born April 13, 1933, in Lowell, Joseph was the youngest child of the late George and Alice (McLaughlin) Haggerty. He graduated from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in 1957, served as Lieutenant Commander on the USS Intrepid, and earned a Juris Doctor from Suffolk University Law School in 1969.Joseph is survived by his wife of forty-five years, Jean (Lehane), and six children, three from a previous marriage: David and his wife Laurie of Harpswell, ME; Lisa DelDotto and her husband Alfred of North Andover; Michael and his wife Jennifer of Hingham; Jane Freeman and her husband Scott of Vancouver, BC; Carolyn Spellman and her husband Michael of Palm Beach Gardens, FL; and Katherine Machado and her husband Joseph of Rowley. He also leaves fourteen grandchildren. He was the brother of Mary Eyres and the late Philip Haggerty, both of Lowell. He leaves several nieces and a nephew.HAGGERTY -- A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, June 28th at 10 a.m. at St. Christopher's Church, 4 Barrell Lane, York Harbor, Maine.
