Joseph Cavanaugh, 37, of 22 Black Oak Court, died Thursday, November 16, 2006, from injuries sustained in an automotive accident. Born in Philadelphia, Pa., he was a son of Thomas W. Cavanaugh Jr. of Charleston and Carolyn Demchik Cavanaugh of Summerville. Joe Cavanaugh was the owner of Planet Paint Ball, and employed by the ChopHouse 47. He attended Brookwood Community Church.Surviving, in addition to his parents, are a sister, Ann Marie Barrack of Charleston; two brothers, Thomas Cavanaugh and Michael Cavanaugh, both of Charleston; a niece, Katlyn of Charleston; three nephews, Michael, Justin and Michael, all of Charleston; an aunt, Anne Dobbelaere of Syracuse, N.Y.; and an uncle, Mike Demchik of Shepherdston, W.Va. Visitation will be held at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Northwest, on Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Funeral services will be held at Brookwood Community Church, Monday, at 1:30 p.m. Memorials may be made to Brookwood Community Church, 580 Brookwood Point Place, Simpsonville, SC 29681.
