Avis de décès de John-H. Curtin


John Harold Curtin died Dec. 3 at Morristown Medical Center. He was 83. Born and raised in Jersey City, he moved to Parsippany in November of 1957. He worked as a dispatcher for PSE&G in Jersey City for 43 years before retiring in 1990. He was a member of the Lake Parsippany Volunteer Fire Company District No. 3 for 53 years, where he was past chief and fire commissioner. He was a life member of the Fireman's Association and the Parsippany Fireman's Relief Association of which he served as president for 11 years. He was also a member of the North Jersey Irish American Association. Curtin is survived by his wife of 61 years, Frances K. (Gibbs); his sons, John and his wife, Patricia, of Stanhope, James and Mary Joyce of Parsippany, and Michael, of Parsippany; his brother, Theodore Moeller and his wife, Diane; his eight cherished grandchildren; his 11 great-grandchildren; and his dog, Buddy. He was predeceased by a grandson. Liturgy was offered at St. Christopher R.C. Church in Parsippany, followed by interment at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in East Hanover. Arrangements were provided by the Par-Troy Funeral Home.
