QUIGG John Edward Quigg, 80, formerly of Jacksonville and Sopchoppy, FL and recently Cairo, GA, went to be with our Lord on Friday, December 14th. Edward served in the US Navy for nine years, after which he established a private accounting practice in Jacksonville. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the memorial service which will be held on Tuesday, December, 18th at 2:00 p.m. at Mt. Beasor Primitive Baptist church, 29 Winthrop Ave., Sopchoppy, FL. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, December 19th at 2:00 p.m. at Riverside Memorial Park, Jacksonville, FL. Edward was predeceased by his wife of 48 years, Nadine Allen Quigg, three brothers: Doyle, C.S., and Wayne. He is survived by his second wife, Emma Harrell Quigg of Cairo, GA; four brothers: Earl(wife Ann) of Thomasville, GA; Fred(wife Callie) and Doug (wife Sherry) of Crawfordville; and Jesse (wife Frances) of Sopchoppy, four sisters: Mary Nichols (husband Marvin), Rhonda Harvey (husband David) of Crawfordville; Martha Kimball(husband Russ) of Clearwater and Glenda Porter (husband Bobby) of Sopchoppy, two sisters-in-law: Ruth and Gladys; five sons: Ronnie Allen residing in the Phillipines, Wayne (wife Debby) of Wacissa, Dale (wife Bygie) of Ponte Vedra Beach, Mike (wife Tanya) of Palm Coast, and Mark of Jacksonville; two daughters: Cheryl Wilkerson (husband Chris) of Ponte Vedra Beach, and Kimberly Hankins (husband Richard) of Keystone Heights; two stepsons; Harrell Samford of Brookville, IN and Vaughn Samford (wife Josie) of Thomasville, GA and a stepdaughter, Jean Samford of Cairo, GA as well as a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
