Madison Co. - John Edward Hattaway, 72, died July 5, 2005.A native and lifelong resident of Madison County, he was a son of the late Robert L. and Florida Curtis Hattaway. He was preceded in death by a brother, Robert L. ìJuniorî Hattaway, Jr. and two grandchildren, Codee and Alexis Hattaway. He retired from Seaboard Farms after thirty-three years and was of the Baptist faith.Funeral services will be Friday, July 8, 2005 at 3:00 PM at Friendship Baptist Church. Revs. Dayton Logan and Ray Jenkins will officiate. Interment will be in the church cemetery.Survivors include his wife, Edna Hattaway; three children, Peggy Pullium, Mike Hattaway and Mark Hattaway, all of Danielsville; sister, Margaree Hill; brothers, Eugene Hattaway, Leroy Hattaway, Billy Hattaway, all of Danielsville, and Elmer Hattaway of Waycross; grandchildren, Diane Nix, Jeff Sorrells, Hope Sears, Eric Epps, Calah Hattaway, Heather Hattaway, Josh Hattaway, Kellie Hattaway, Mason Hattaway, Christy Vickery, and Kasey Hattaway; great-grandchildren, Ashlee Nix, Morgan Nix, Tori Sears, Blaine Sears, Riley Myers, Caden Hattaway, Trent Sorrells, Chandler Sorrells.The family will receive friends Thursday from 7:00 until 9:00 PM at the funeral home and may be reached at Mr. Hattawayís residence.Lord and Stephens, Danielsville, is in charge of arrangements.
