ADAMSON _ Jessie Taylor Born August 16, 1925 in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Jessie passed away peacefully in her sleep, March 8, 2007. Jessie is survived by her devoted husband of 55 years, George E. of North Vancouver, her only child and daughter, Debbie, husband Sal of Williams Lake, B.C.; grandchildren Dan (Sheila) of Vancouver, B.C. and Cara of Kamloops, B.C. Jessie was a woman of enormous creativity, which expressed itself in various forms through the years. She was a prolific painter, sewer, quilter and crafter and used her creations to generate funds for various causes, but most particularly her church community, Highlands United Church and its work. Jessie had a real enjoyment of a good, dumb joke and most people she greeted with her latest "funny". Her sense of humor and feistiness never left her and even in her last days she would have a humorous comment to make. Jessie absolutely loved to dress up in costume and really enjoyed the looks on children's faces when they would see her. George E. was the apple of Jessie's eye, and in her lost years they were virtually inseparable. Jessie was a devoted mother and grandmother and she will be remembered for ensuring her grandchildren were well clothed and had seen everything the big city had to offer. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Alzheimer's Society of British Columbia. Memorial Service to be held Wednesday, March 14 at 2 pm at Highlands United Church Chapel. Tea to follow.
