Jean P. Foster, 83, of Cazenovia, passed on at the Nottingham Care Facility on Sunday. Born in Fulton on May 20, 1931, she graduatedfrom Fulton High School and attended classes at Oswego College. She and her husband, Gerald Foster, lived in Maine, New Mexico, and Idaho before moving back to New York, eventually designing and building two houses. She had an abiding interest in American History and traveled much of the country to visit historic sites. She also enjoyed music, particularly piano, practicing regularly to improve her own skills and giving lessons to others. Jean was a lifelong Christian Scientist, a member of the First Church of Christ, Scientist, Boston, Massachusetts. She was active in the Christian Science Society in Spencerport taking on many positions: Sunday school teacher, Sunday school superintendent, organist, pianist, reader, clerk, treasurer, and served on various committees. She is survived by her son, Jeffrey Foster; granddaughters, Grace and Marian, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was predeceased by her husband, Gerald G. Foster and her older son, Steve Foster. Funeral services will be at the convenience of the family.
