DOUGLAS, Janet I., 87, of Wauchula, Florida, passed away Tuesday, October 28, 2003, at Hardee Manor Care Center, Wauchula. Mrs. Douglas was born in Georgia on July 19, 1916 and moved to Wauchula from Georgia in 1930. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Wauchula, where she taught the 5 year old Sunday School Class for over 30 years. She retired after 20 years as a lunchroom worker at Hardee County Senior High and Middle Schools. She was preceded in death by her husband, L.V. Douglas. Survivors are her daughter, Mary Rutland of Bowling Green, 3 grandchildren, Thomas Wingo Jr, Tammy Simcic & Susie Rutland; 6 great grandchildren, Britney Simcic, Sabrina Rutland, Ryan Wingo, Jenna Wingo, Joshua Wingo. Funeral services will be Saturday, November 1, 2003, at 11:00 a.m. at the Chapel of Curry Raley Funeral Home with burial in Wauchula Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday evening, October 31, 2003 from 6 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Those who wish may make donations to th e American Cancer Society, Hardee Unit, P.O.
