Elberton - Jane Guest Webb, 74, of 132 Forest Avenue, Elberton, wife of Johnny Webb, died Friday, October 3, 2008 at Athens Regional Medical Center.Born in Elbert County, she was a daughter of the late Howard Columbus Guest and Katheryn Gaines Guest. She was the granddaughter of the late William Sanford Guest & Susie Sorrells Guest (paternal) and Dr. Tinsley Alexander Gaines & TeRessie Adams Gaines (maternal). She was a member of the Elberton First Methodist Church and retired from Franklin Insurance.Survivors include her husband, Johnny Webb; sister, TeRessie Cown of Loganville; brother, Larry L. Guest of Elberton. She was preceded in death by a brother, Dr. Stanley Howard Guest. She is also survived by a number of nieces & nephews.Funeral services will be held Sunday, October 5, at 2 p.m. at the Elberton First United Methodist Church with Rev. Wayne Smith officiating. Burial will be in Elmhurst Cemetery.Pallbearers will be Trey Cown, Travis Cown, Bo Cown, Alec Guest, Gerald Mann and Jason Mann.The family is at the home, 132 Forest Avenue, and will receive friends at the Elberton First United Methodist Church prior to the service starting at 1 PM.Berry Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements for Jane Guest Webb.
