CHAPMAN, Jane Marie (nee Bennett)In her 104th year on May 1, 2015 in Ottawa, ON. Survived by her daughter Diane, son David (Marilyn), grandchildren Tim (Deanna), Stephanie, Jill (Brian) and Lee (Rosemary) as well as ten great-grandchildren. Predeceased by daughters Kaye and Connie and grandson Glenn, as well as by sister Marjorie and brothers Robert and Morrison. From birth to early adulthood in Ottawa, Marie moved to British Columbia, where her children were born, then moved to Zambia (eight years) and Zimbabwe (three years) where her husband was a metallurgical consultant. A lifetime member and former president of Good Companions, Marie volunteered for many years in a number of areas, including pastoral and palliative care. A private Interment of ashes on May 7, 2015 will be followed by a Commemoration/Celebration of Her Life by family in July. In memoriam donations may be made to Good Companions of Ottawa or to Unitarian House.
