MacKAY, James Robert Peacefully with family by his side, April 25, 2006 at age 89 after a long illness with Parkinsons at the Civic Campus of the Ottawa Hospital. Loving husband to Margret Elinor MacKay (nee Whillans). Much loved father to Robert Ian, and Janet Katherine MacKay and cherished grandfather to Jamie and Robyn MacKay Batsch. Born in Kentville Nova Scotia and a graduate from Dalhousie University, James made his career with the Department of Transport Canada where he met Elinor. After retiring he spent many wonderful active years with Elinor travelling, curling, enjoying cottage life and being a wonderful grandfather.Family and friends may pay their respects at the Central Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry, 315 McLeod Street on Friday from 3 - 5 and 7 - 9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Saturday April 29 at 10:30 a.m. Interment Beechwood Cemetery.
