Services for James P. Hebert, 86, will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at David Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Jimmy Wilson officiating. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. Monday, with a rosary at 7 p.m. at the funeral home chapel. Visitation will resume at 8 a.m. Tuesday until the time of services.A native of Iberia Parish and resident of New Iberia, Hebert died Saturday, July 16, 2005, at Dauterive Hospital.He was retired from Diamond Crystal Salt Company with 40 years of service and retired with the title of supervisor. He was a member of the American Legion. He was a veteran of WWII, having served in the U.S. Air Force.He is survived by three sons, Blaine Hebert and wife Pat of New Iberia, Gordon Hebert of New Iberia and Craig Hebert of New Iberia; three granddaughters, Holly Hebert of Petaluma, Calif., Heather Robino of Lafayette and Kara Arceneaux of Lafayette; a grandson, Bucky Hebert of Lafayette; two great grandsons, Gage Robino of Lafayette and Micah Robino of Lafayette; three great granddaughters, Alexis Robino of Lafayette, Brianne Hebert of Lafayette and Kameron Arceneaux of Lafayette; and his former wife, Dorothy Breaux of New Iberia.He was preceded in death by his father, Simon Hebert; his mother, Elena Migues Hebert; and a brother, Felton Hebert.Pallbearers will be Blaine Hebert, Gordon Hebert and Craig Hebert (his three sons) and Randy Hebert, Paul Hebert, Jeff Hebert and Bucky Hebert.David Funeral Home of New Iberia (Trotter Street) is in charge of arrangements.
