James F. McMahon of Bridgewater died unexpectedly, at the age of 72, on Saturday. Born in Natick, Jim grew up in Framingham, MA. He was the beloved son of the late Mildred and Joseph Cronin. Jim was a graduate of Framingham High School. He joined the Army as a paratrooper and was stationed in Lebanon and Germany. Jim married Linda Dow in 1963 and they raised their four children in Bridgewater. Jim worked as a foreman for General Motors before working for RJ Gabriel Construction for over 12 years. He started a company, A. Belloli & Sons of Bridgewater, with his brother-in-law and nephew. Recently he was the head groundskeeper for the BR School District and worked at Olde Scotland Links Golf Course in Bridgewater. Jims passion was his family. He also enjoyed traveling with his wife, golfing, and hunting. Jim was a loving husband to his wife, Linda, of 47 years. He was the loving father of Kerrin McMahon of Framingham, Shaun and his partner Juan Carlos of Boston, Kourtney Bovio of Boxford, and Chad and his wife Christine of Madison, WI, and son-in-law, Richard Alfonso of Raynham. He was the proud grandfather of James, Nicholas, Peter, Molly, Alexandria, and Meghan. Jim is survived by his brother George Cronin of Framingham, and the late Joseph Cronin, Rita Wright, and Catherine Belloli. He was also beloved by many nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at St. Anns Church in Raynham on Friday at 10:00 a.m. followed by a burial at Elmwood Cemetery, East Bridgewater.
