DUNCAN, SC-- James Ernest Whitmore, 73, of 234 Highland Road, died Wednesday, November 9, 2005 at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center.He was son of the late Earl and Evie Whitmore, and the husband of the Elizabeth Sumner Whitmore. Mr. Whitmore was a barber for Hughes Barber Service in Woodruff. He graduated from Palmetto State Barber College in 1962. He was a member and former Deacon at Community Baptist Church.Surviving are his wife Elizabeth Sumner Whitmore of the home; sons, Ricky J. Whitmore and wife Elaine, and Rusty Whitmore and wife Robin; daughter, Donna Ward and husband Reggie; brother, Robert Whitmore and wife Helen of Tillotson, NY; grandchildren, Nick and April Nicholson, Bearer and Amber Stribling, Michael and Ashlee Pules, Breanna Whitmore, Haley Ward, Hannah Ward and Kristen Smith; great-grandchildren, Riley Stribling, Reid Stribling, Anna Nicholson and Addie Nicholson.Visitation will be held 7:00 until 9:00 p.m. Saturday, November 12, 2005.Funeral services will be held 3:00 p.m. Sunday, November 13, 2005 at Community Baptist Church, conducted by Dr. Bill Jolly and Rev.
