ADAMS, James AlbertPeacefully passed away at the May Court Hospice on May 1, 2016. Predeceased by sisters Lillian Bourne (Maurice) and Ernesta McMullen (Bill). Beloved husband of Shirley and dear father to Susan (Dave Singh) and James Michael (Elizabeth Gardias). He will be lovingly remembered by his grandchildren Neil, Devi, Abigail, Danielle and Gabrielle. James will be missed by family and friends in Canada, United States, Barbados and Bermuda. The family would like to thank Dr. Kathryn McFarland, Bishop Bryan Williams, Sydney Swanson, the staff of the Ottawa General Hospital and the staff and volunteers of the May Court Hospice for their care and compassion. Heartfelt thanks to all who upheld the family in prayer throughout his illness. A Celebration of Life service will be held on Friday, May 27, at Beechwood Funeral Home, 280 Beechwood Avenue, Ottawa. Visitation with family from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m., followed by the service at 10:15 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to May Court Hospice, 114 Cameron Avenue, Ottawa, ON, K1S 0X1 or to Emmanuel Apostolic Church, 3347 McCarthy Road, Ottawa ON, K1V 9G5.
