James A. Gallagher, 46, of Bayou George, Fla., left those who loved him on Friday, Aug. 21, 2009. He was born April 5, 1963, to John and Lura Gallagher in Fort Benning, Ga. He was a 1981 graduate of Pacelli High School in Columbus, Ga. He relocated to Bayou George in 1986. He was a 2004 graduate of Gulf Coast Community College and was employed with Gulf Correctional Institution in Wewahitchka, Fla. James was preceded in death by his father, John Gallagher; and older brother, John Jr. He is survived by a daughter, Rose Marie Gallagher Stevens and husband, Craig; mother, Lura Gallagher; brother, Michael Gallagher; sister, Teresa Kunkle and husband, Tim; brother, Jeff Amenda and wife, Bonita; niece, Mary Amber Gallagher; nephew, Kenneth Amenda; and many loving friends. Memorial services will be held from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 26, 2009, in the chapel of Heritage Funeral Home, 247 N. Tyndall Parkway, Panama City, Fla.
