Jack Addison Allan July 29, 1924 - August 1, 2007 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Jack Addison Allan, 83, on Wednesday, August 1st after a valiant battle with cancer. Formerly of Waterdown, Ontario. Palos Hills, Illinois, Fort Myers, Florida and most recently Chandler/Fountain Hills, Arizona. Jack will be greatly missed by his wife Elizabeth "Bette", daughters & their husbands: Susan & Keith Guelpa, (Fountain Hills, AZ) Patricia & Barry Wynne, (Orillia, ON) Katherine & Ronald Brown, (Scottsdale, AZ) Janet & Michael Crusing, (Frankfort, IL) as well as his grandchildren: Michael, Christopher, Leann, David, Matthew, Megan, and great grandson Jack. He is also survived by his sister Jean Gerrard (Hamilton, ON) & many nieces and nephews. Jack was a World War II veteran and a well respected member of the construction industry, both in Canada and the U.S. He was hardworking, always positive and upbeat, and a generous friend to all who knew him. Special thanks to Dr. Kadiyala, Alicia of Hospice of the Valley Arizona and Ian Lancaster of Hospice Palliative Care Muskoka. Friends may call at the KITCHING, STEEPE & LUDWIG FUNERAL HOME, 146 Mill St., N., Waterdown on Sunday, 2 - 4 & 7 - 9 p.m. where Service will be held on Monday, August 6, 2007 at 11 a.m. Reception to follow in the family centre. A private family interment to take place at Hamilton Cemetery on Tuesday. If desired, donations may be made to the American or Canadian Cancer Societies or Hospice of Muskoka.
