John A. Adams -->John A. Adams, 82, of Hanover died Thursday, March 11, 2010 at the Tobey Hospital in Wareham after a short illness. The son of the late Albert and Sadie (Towne) Adams, he was born in Fitchburg on March 21, 1927. He was raised and educated in Waltham. Mr. Adams served in the Marines during WWII and later in the Air Force during the Korean War. He was later employed as a Foreman at General Electric at their Riverworks Plant in Lynn. He is survived by his wife, Barbara J. (Seppala) Adams, 2 daughters, Officer Deborah L. Burns (Hanover Police) and her husband, Officer Gregory Burns (Pembroke Police) of Pembroke and Cynthia J. Long of Plymouth, 1 sister Celia Huyer of Ft. Meyers FL, grandfather of Officer James Burns (Pembroke Police), Sean Burns, Mellissa King and her husband Joshua King (Plymouth County Sherriff Dept.) and Meghan Long. Great grandfather of John King. Visitation in the Sullivan Funeral Home, 551 Washington St, Rte. 53, HANOVER on Monday from 10-11 a.m., followed by a service in the funeral home at 11 a.m. Interment in Hanover Center Cemetery.
