Avis de décès de Iva-Ruth Garrett

Iva Ruth Garrett, born Feb. 27, 1930, went to be with the Lord and Savior on Easter Sunday, April 12, 2009. Ruth, also known as "Tot" was a longtime member of the Westside Assembly of God Church of Crestview, Fla., where she remained a devoted member until her move to Texas to be with her children. She was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Garrett, who passed in October 2007. Survivors include her sons, Marvin Garrett and wife Laurie, and Larry Garrett and wife Carol, all of Spring, Texas; grandsons, Brian Garrett of Spring, Chad Garrett and wife Natalie of San Antonio, Texas, and Christopher Garrett, also of Spring; great-granddaughters, Jayden and Madison of San Antonio, Texas; sisters, Sara Doriety of Fort Meyers, Fla., and Mary Campbell of Santa Rosa Beach, Fla.; and in addition, the many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends she loved so dearly. A time of visitation will be held on Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Whitehurst-Powell Funeral Home. A celebration of her life will take place on Thursday, April 16, at 10 a.m. at Westside Assembly of God Church of Crestview. The actual burial will take place at the Magnolia Cemetery of DeFuniak Springs. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her honor to the Westside Assembly of God.
