Ida (Portz) Knightof BinghamtonIda Knight, age 80, passed away at her home, Friday morning, after a short illness. She is survived by her husband, Charles Knight, Binghamton; three daughters and one son-in-law, Patricia Grant, Fla., Marilyn Portz, Binghamton, and Ida May and Donald Elliot, Waterloo, N.Y.; seven grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; a special family friend, Kathy Rinker, Binghamton; and several nieces and nephews. Ida had worked as a nurse's aide at various locations. She was also proud to be a Senior Companion at Broome Developmental Center.Funeral services will be held Tuesday, July 19, at 12 noon at the Sedlock Funeral Home, Inc., 161 Clinton St., Binghamton, with the Rev. David Seaver officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 11 a.m. until the time of service. Entombment will be in Vestal Hills Memorial Park.
