BAINBRIDGE, Henry After a courageous battle with cancer, with his loving family by his side, at King Gardens Retirement Residence, Mississauga, on Thursday, June 26th, 2008 at the age of 76. Predeceased by his parents Henry and Edith (nee Stonehouse), his brother Arthur and daughter Linda. Beloved husband of Theresa (nee Best). Dear father of Carol and Dominic Mercuri of Burlington, Theresa and Roy Purcell of Grand Cayman and Christine and Leon Martysiewicz of Oakville. Much loved grandfather of Jennifer, Frank, Natalie, Victoria, Michael, and Britteny. Born in Bishop Auckland, England on February 11, 1932, Henry joined the Royal Air Force at 18 years of age and had postings at RAF camps: Edzell, Kinloss, Swinderby, Seletar, Tenga and Lucres. He worked for British Steel, Cameron Iron Works and then formed his own engineering company before immigrating to Canada in 1975. Henry was a long-time resident of Kincardine, Ontario before moving to Mississauga. He retired from Ontario Hydro after 18 years of service. Many heartfelt thanks to the staff of King Gardens Retirement Residence for their care and compassion. Memorial Service to be held at the Glen Oaks Memorial Chapel and Reception Centre, 3164 Ninth Line, Oakville, 905-257-8822, on Monday, June 30th. Visitation at 10 a.m., service at 11 a.m. with a reception to follow.
