MAJOR, Helen (née Cuddihey) Died peacefully at the "Foyer du Bonheur" in Gatineau on September 23, 2013 at age 81. Predeceased by her parents, Michael Cuddihey and Anne Gannon, her brothers Martin, Paul and Frank, and sisters Leona, Mae and Lila. She leaves behind the love of her life, her husband of 59 years, Raymond Major. Loved and cherished mother of Daniel, Anne-Marie (Steve Brown), Raymond Jr., Larry (Martine Fecteau), Mike (Céline Girard), Jim (Mélanie Maranda) and loving grand- mother to Isabelle, David, Caroline, Sarah and Lilian. She also leaves behind her sisters Peggy and Clare (Ormon Stanton), as well as her brother John (Maureen Daly), her sister- in-law Monique Larivière, Katie Cuddihey (McLaughlin), Laura Cuddihey (Brennan), Sophie Cuddihey (Woznick) and brothers-in- law Jean-Paul Larivière and Adrien Noël, along with many cherished nieces, nephews and friends. She touched the lives of many and brought joy and happiness to all those fortunate enough to have known her. She will be greatly missed. Special thanks to the personnel (5th floor), Foyer du Bonheur for the good care provided to Helen for many years. The family will be receiving visitors on Friday, September 27 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the McGarry Memorial Chapel: 139 Valley Road, Wakefield, QC CA J0X 3G0. Funeral Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, September 28th at St. Martin's Roman Catholic Church, 280 Martindale Rd, Low, QC.
