HARRY WOOD, CA February 12, 1915 to December 3, 2008 A native of Ottawa, Harry was the son of Charles and Harriet Wood. He was pre-deceased by his loving wife Marguerite (Marg), his parents Charles and Harriet and his siblings Agnes, Clare, and Len. Harry is survived by his loving children Curry (Gail) and Lynne (Peggy), his grandsons Michael (Natalie) and Jeffrey (Jane) and his nephews Chuck (Andrea) and Gerry (Angela). Harry was a life long resident of Ottawa. After attending Glebe Collegiate he articled for his Chartered Accountant designation that he attained in 1942. Upon receiving his CA, Harry enlisted in the Army. After the war he set up his public practice as a Chartered Accountant. Harry was the original Ottawa partner of what is now KPMG. Harry was a member of the Ottawa Hunt and Golf Club, which he enjoyed immensely. He loved to golf and did so until he was 89. He also enjoyed playing snooker and was an avid bridge player. After his wife Marg passed away, Harry became a resident of Landmark Court Retirement Home. At Landmark, Harry was supported by all the residents and staff who went out of their way daily to brighten Harry's day. The family is sincerely grateful for the wonderful care that Dad received during his time at Landmark. Family and friends are invited to visit at the Central Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry, 315 Mcleod Street on Sunday, December 7, 2008 from 2 to 4 p.m. and on Monday, December 8, 2008 from 1 p.m. until time of Service in the Chapel at 2:30 p.m. Contributions in Harry's memory may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Ontario or the Lung Association.
