BURKE, Harriet Lillian (Hattie) Nee Nixon Peacefully in hospital on Saturday, April 22, 2006 at the age of 85 years. Beloved wife of the late Harold. Loving mother of Carol (Steve Byrnes), Diane (Clem Mulcahey), Kath-leen (John Chamaillard), Kenneth (Christine Shea) Eleanor (Clarence Hogan), Clifford (Marlene Shea), Bill (Mary Hol-mes), Marlene (Danny Bray), Gerald, Mary Ellen (the late Warren Smith), and predeceased by infants Elaine and Elizabeth. Dear grandmother of 25 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. Survived by her sister Mabel Ross (100 years old) of Kitchener-Waterloo and predeceased by 4 sisters and 2 brothers. Friends may call on Monday at McEvoy-Shields Funeral Home, 235 Kent Street from 2 to 9 p.m. and after 9 a.m. on Tuesday. Funeral Mass Tuesday in St. Elizabeth's Church, Cantley at 11 a.m. Interment Parish Cemetery. The family wishes to express their thanks to the staff of ICU at the Ottawa Civic Hospital.
