McDONELL, Gordon Joseph Gordon McDonell at the Ottawa Hospital, General Campus, on Sunday July 6, 2003 age 83 years; Veteran WW II; Retired Superintendent St. Lawrence Seaway; Member of the Knights of Columbus Ontario Council #10416, St. Andrews Parish. Beloved husband of 56 years to Alda Maloney. Loved father of Sharon Duvall (Ralph), Morrisburg; Glen (Sharron), Williamsburg; Darryl (Fannie), Iroquois; Claire Locke (Duane), Williamsburg; Jane McDonell, Corinne McDonell, both of Ottawa; Catherine Mackenzie (Ian), Cambridge; Jeanne Gordon (Ian), Ottawa; and Christopher of Gatineau. Also survived by his 14 grandchildren Sean, Marla, Lesley, Erin, Laura, Emily, Jane, Parker, Nathalie, Nathan, Heather, Shane, Stuart, and Andrew. Dear son of the late William and Claire (Fraser) McDonell. Dear brother of Oris McCann, Smiths Falls; and Kenneth McDonell (Grace) of Cornwall. Predeceased by his brother Clifford, and sister Hilda McDonald. Resting at the Wilson Funeral Home 822 Pitt Street, Cornwall from 7 PM Monday July 7th. (The Mass of the Resurrection with Commendation and Farewell will be celebrated in St. Andrews Roman Catholic Church on Wednesday July 9, 2003 at 11:00 AM) Rite of Commmittal to follow in the parish cemetery.
