Gong Soon Kim NEW YORK, NY - Gong Soon Kim, 89, formerly of the Fairview neighborhood in Chicopee, passed away April 27th at Metropolitan Hospital in New York City. Born in Daegu, South Korea, Mrs. Kim was the daughter of Bok Dok Yu and Myung Do Kim. She was active in church affairs, and often accompanied her pastors on counseling visits and Bible study classes. She also travelled with her fellow parishioners to Greece, Israel and Egypt. She is survived by her son, Poong Han and his wife, Young Suk of Daegu, South Korea; her daughter Sung Yeon, and husband F. X. Kelly of New York City; and grandchildren, Seung Hee, Chang Uk, and Sung Uk Han; Robert and Elizabeth Ann Kelly. The Edward D. Jamie Funeral Chapel in Flushing, NY, is coordinating final arrangements. There will be a viewing Thursday, May 3rd from 7-8:30 p.m. A funeral service will be conducted Friday, May 4th, at 10 a.m. followed by interment at Pinelawn Memorial Park in Farmingdale, Long Island.
