DAIGNAULT (nee GIBEAU), Gloria Gile May 11, 1939 to May 3,2004 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Gloria Gile Daignault (nee Gibeau) at the age of 64. She is survived by her loving husband Andre (Andy) and their three children, Paul (Maxine), Norman, and Lise and her four precious grandchildren, Thomas, Jessica, Nigel and Joseph. She also leaves to mourn her three sisters Pauline Waterman, Priscille (Don) Brown, and Dolores (Larry) Hesse and three brothers Oscar (Therese) Gibeau, Philippe (Mary-Lou) Gibeau, and Raymond (Madeleine) Gibeau and four sister-in-laws Adoralice Gibeau, Mavis Daignault, Cecile Borau, and Alice Daignault. Gloria was predeceased by her parents Harris and Laura Gibeau and one brother Bill. Gloria graduated from the Misericordia School of Nursing in 1959. Her career at the "Mis" spanned almost 34 years and was a source of many of her close friends. Gloria touched many lives with her genuine interest in people and her sincerity. She was always honest and open, and this made for a great number of dear and close family and friends. Gloria had a passion for life and she passed her enthusiasm for life and learning to her four grandchildren to whom she devoted a great deal of time, love, and attention. From each grandchild's "Special day with Grandma", to trips to Seba Beach and to the Odyssium, she always had an amazing amount of energy and patience to devote to them. A very special thanks to Dr. Pablo Amigo and the staff at the Grey Nuns Hospital Palliative Care Unit #43 for their kind and extra-special care. Friends who wish to pay their last respects may do so at Connelly-McKinley Funeral Home on May 6, 2004 from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Reverend George Neumann, SAC will celebrate a Mass of Christian Burial at Good Shepherd Catholic Church, 18407-60 Avenue on Friday, May 7, 2004 at 11:30 a.m. with cremation to follow. Friends who so wish may make memorial donations directly to the Alberta Cancer Foundation (Cross Cancer) or Charity of one's choice.
