Gerald Lee "Gerry" Thomas, 84, of Greenville, S.C., died Dec. 4, 2012, in St. Augustine, S.C. He was born in Lexington, son of the late Lotteef and Irene Thomas. Gerry retired from IBM in Boulder, Colo. He was an avid golfer. Gerry was a member of St. Giles Presbyterian Church in Greenville. God blessed us with Gerry and he was so loved! He will be deeply missed by many relatives and friends. He is survived by wife of 54 years, Phyllis Massey Thomas, Greenville; two daughters, Karen Thomas, Greenville, Jennifer Thomas, St. Augustine; and one grandson, Brian Lamping, Lakewood, Colo.He was preceded in death by his son, Philip Thomas, brother, Robert Thomas, and grandson, Clark Lamping.A graveside service will be at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 15, in Pleasureville.St. Johns Family Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
