WAITE Geraldine May Waite, age 82, beloved wife of Kenneth N. Waite, Sr., of Monroe, died on Monday, March 3, 2003, in the Ashlar of Newtown Health Care Center following a brief illness. Born in Bridgeport on January 19, 1921, she was the daughter of the late William T. and Eva Wheeler Dodge. Mrs. Waite was a Monroe resident for 56 years and worked as the office manager of the Towne Service Station of Monroe for 21 years, until her retirement. She served as a Den Mother for the Monroe Cub Scouts, Pack 63 and was a member of women’s auxiliary of the Fairfield County Fish and Game Association. In addition to her husband of 61 years, she is survived by her devoted children, Kenneth N. Waite, Jr. and his wife, Barbara, of Monroe, James Waite and his wife, Paula, of Monroe, Wendy Cadieux and her husband, Urgel, of Vt., and Liz Bendlak of Monroe; 7 grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a daughter-in-law, Carolyn Zucco Waite. Funeral services will take place on Saturday, March 8, 2003, at 11:00 a.m. in the Spadaccino Community Funeral Home, 315 Monroe Turnpike (Route 111), Monroe, with the Rev. David York officiating. Interment will be in East Village Cemetery, Monroe.
