Mr. George Weber, a longtime resident of Tappan, died on October 15, 2003 at the age of 91. He was born in Frankfurt, Germany on January 30, 1912 to Johann and Elizabeth Kleppinger Weber. He was an operating engineer for Bloomingdales in New York City. Mr. Weber was a member of the Tappan Senior Citizens. He survived by his wife, Sofie; his son, John of Tappan; his sister, Anny Bauer of Germany; his sister-in-law, Ilse Auf der Heide of Germany; his niece, Lucie Carma of Guatemala and several nieces and nephews in Germany. A Graveside Service will be held Saturday, 11 am, at the Tappan Reformed Church Cemetery in Tappan. Visiting hours will be Friday 2-4 and 7-9 pm at the Moritz Funeral home in Tappan.
