George F. Hebert 1920 - 2011 SOUTH HADLEY - George Federick Hebert, 91, of South Hadley, died Sunday October 30, 2011 in Wingate of South Hadley. He was born and educated in Holyoke. He resided in South Hadley for 60 years. The son of Leo C. and Lillian (Beauchamp) Hebert. He attended Jewelers School in Peoria, Ill. George served in the United States Navy from 1946 through 1949. George worked at the National Bank Book Inc., before starting his own Painting Contract Business in 1955 retiring in 2003. He was an active member of the Beavers for over 40 years. George was pre deceased by his loving wife Joan A. (Charron) Hebert, whom he married in 1950, sisters and brother, Vivian Harrelson, Roland Hebert and Constance Farrell. He is survived by his two children, daughter Sharon Hebert Monast and her husband John of Belchertown and son, Kevin G. Hebert of Texas he will be missed greatly by his 5 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. The funeral for George will be held on Monday 9:30am from the Ryder Funeral Home followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:30am in St. Patrick's Church with his burial to follow in St. Rose Cemetery in South Hadley.
