HAYWARD, GEORGE EDWARD - George Edward Hayward passed away unexpectedly on December 16, 2004 in Yorkshire, England. Born on September 10, 1937 in Saint John, NB, son of Emeline Marie (LeBlanc) and the late Charles Edward Hayward. George was stationed in Germany in the mid 1950's, where he met his wife Enid on a blind date. He had been a plater/welder by trade until his retirement. He enjoyed racing his greyhounds and spending time with his grandchildren. He loved a good laugh with his mates in Yorkshire who nicknamed him "Canadian George". Survived by his beloved wife of 47 years, Enid (Fisher) of Yorkshire, England, sons, Stuart (Linda), Michael (Diane), Robert (Karen) and John (Danielle Gauthier, formerly of Saint John), all of Yorkshire, England, brothers and sisters, Rose (Jack) Rumson of Norton, NB, Lloyd (Sharon) of Newcastle, NB, Donnie (Arlene) of Ketepec, NB, Marilyn of Middleton, NS, Kenny (Theresa) of Saint John, NB, and Donna (Doug) Mercer of Hampton, NB, grandchildren, Lee, Amy and Adam, Martina and Helen, Dominic, Molly, Jamie, Jonathan, Michael and Danny, mother- in-law Mary (Fisher) and step-father Clarence Tisdale, several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Resting at Trevor Cook Funeral Home, Prince Street, Allerton-by-Water, Castleford, Yorkshire, England. Funeral service will take place at Trevor Cook Funeral Home, December 23, 2004 at 3:30 PM.
