George E. Hebert, 87 of Cromwell, died Wednesday, (May 18, 2005). He was born July 26, 1917 in Frenchville, ME, one of 12 children of Honore and Elmina Gagnon Hebert. George was retired from the Connecticut Carpenters Union since 1983. He served in the U.S. Marine Corp. during World War II and was a member of the American Legion Post # 22 of Lewiston, ME and the Andy Valley Assembly 4 th Degree Knights of Columbus of Auburn, ME and a member of the Auburn Catholic Community at Sacred Heart Church. He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Antoinette Laliberte Hebert of Cromwell; children, Jacqueline Walsh of Cromwell, Paul Hebert and wife Barbara of New Hartford, Donald Hebert and wife Ann Marie of Honeybrook, PA, Doris Hebert-Ferrigno of Venice, FL, Jeanne Yarrow and husband Robert of Lambertville, NJ and Michael Hebert and wife Carol of Eagleville, PA; a sister, Jeanne Labonte and husband Dominic of Lewiston, ME; 13 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren and a great-great granddaughter as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Visitations: Sunday 5-8 p.m. at Fortin/Auburn, ME. Funeral: Monday 11 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church Auburn, ME. Committal: St. Peter's Cemetery, Lewiston, ME. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. John's Church, 1 St. John Court, Cromwell, CT. 06416 or the Connecticut State Library for the Blind, 198 West Street, Rocky Hill, CT 06067 in his memory.
