MIDDLEBORO -- George Albert Nault, 65, of Middleboro, died Saturday, Sept. 10, 2005, surrounded by his family after a long illness. He was the husband of Donna (Erickson) Nault. They were married 41 years. Born in South Boston, he was the son of Dennis J. and Catherine (MacPherson) DeArruda of Lakeville. He served in the National Guard for over 30 years. Mr. Nault first worked at the Lakeville State Hospital for 10 years. In 1966 he went on to work for the Massachusetts House of Corrections in Bridgewater for more than 30 years. His greatest joy was spending time with his family and friends, especially his grandchildren. Survivors include his widow; his parents; two sons, David A. Nault of Salem, N.H., and Darren A. Nault of West Wareham; a daughter, Colleen L. Stewart of Weld, Maine; two brothers, Dennis DeArruda Jr. of Bourne and Larry DeArruda of Middleboro; two sisters, Barbara Bradshaw of Inverness, Fla., and Christine King of Middleboro; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. His funeral service will be at 8:30 p.m. Wednesday in the Ashley Funeral Home, 35 Oak St. Burial will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Hope Rest Cemetery.
