Mr. Gary George Magoon, 50, of Flowery Branch passed away on Thursday, March 31, 2011, following a brief illness. Mr. Magoon was born on Sept. 17, 1960, in Duluth, Minn., the son of George Magoon and Maureen Mullins Magoon. Gary enjoyed sports, football and baseball. At the time of his death, he was employed with Lawson Heating and Air of Gainesville. He was a loving father, son, brother and friend to many. Gary was of the Methodist faith.Survivng Mr.Magoon are his parents, George and Maureen Magoon of Blairsville; one son, Daniel George Magoon of Flowery Branch; his mother, Margaret "Peggy" Beck of Flowery Branch; one brother and sister-in-law, Ian A. and Jackie Magoon of Oldsmar, Fla.; one sister and brother-in-law, Cathy and Jeff Parker of Fairfield, Calif.; and many other relatives and friends.No services are planned at this time. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials may be made to a fund at United Community Bank for Gary's son Daniel in memory of Gary.Mountain View Funeral Home of Blairsville in charge of the arrangements.
