Fred O. Adams, 90, of Milford, formerly of Westborough, died on Friday, March 5, 2010, at the Milford Care and Rehabilitation Center. He was the husband of Beverly (Malo) Adams. Born in Milford, N.H., he was the son of the late Ernest and Maryellen Adams. He was educated in Milford, N.H. schools. During World War II he served with the U.S. Coast Guard. Mr. Adams was employed as a firefighter for the Town of Hudson retiring in 1978. He was a member of the Evangelical Congregational Church in Westborough and a member of the Men's Lunch Bunch. He has been a resident of Milford since 1992 previously living in Westborough. In addition to his wife he is survived by two sons, Alan F. Adams of East Falmouth and John W. Adams of Chicago; three step sons, Charles Sisson of West Acton, Gen. (ret.) Matthew Broderick of Virginia and John Broderick of Falmouth; three step daughters, Nancy Berquist of Yarmouth, Sandra Felton of Milford and Sharon Fraser of Millbury and many step grandchildren and step great grandchildren. His funeral service will be held on Tuesday, March 9, at 10 a.m., in the Evangelical Congregational Church, West Main Street, Westborough. Burial will follow in Forestvale Cemetery, Hudson. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the Evangelical Congregational Church Memorial Fund, 8 Church St., Westborough, MA 01581.
