Frances G. White, age 87, passed away Sunday, May 18th, at Ogeechee Area Hospice surrounded by her family.Mrs. White was a native and lifelong resident of Bulloch County and graduated from Brooklet High School with the class of 1943. She was married to the late D.G. White in 1945. In 1956, she and Mr. White started their Statesboro heating and air business, White's Sheet Metal Company. She continued working as the bookkeeper of the family business until she was no longer able due to illness. In times of good health, she enjoyed long days of pond fishing, gardening and canning, working in her flowers, watching the Braves and talking on the phone with family and friends. She was a member of New Hope United Methodist Church and was preceded in death by her husband, D.G. White; her father, Lester Gunter; her mother, Daisy Pye; sister, Shirley Harper; brothers, Alvin Gunter and Bobby Gunter.She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Donald G. and Irene White of Statesboro; two granddaughters and grandson-in-law, Lindsay A. and Matthew L. Dunlap of Lancaster, Pa., and Lacey E. White of Statesboro; sisters, Margaret Clifton and Pat Royal (Woody); brothers, Billy Gunter (Joann) and Junior Pye (Sandra), all of Statesboro; sisters-in-law, Willa Jean Hart of Statesboro and Othedris Cowart of Claxton; and numerous nieces and nephews.The family will receive friends 5-7 p.m. Tuesday, May 20, at Hodges-Moore Funeral Home.The graveside funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 21, in Bulloch Memorial Gardens with the Reverend Wayne Miracle officiating.Pallbearers will be Jimmy McCall, Johnny Royal, Tim Pye, Tommy Jordan, Arnold Deal and Tommy Cowart.The family would like to thank her faithful care givers, Sandra Pye, Willa Jean Hart and Kerr Taylor.Please visit our online memorial at www.hodgesmoore.com to sign our online guestbook and share fond memories with the White family.Memorial contributions may be made to Ogeechee Area Hospice, P.O.
