FRANCES A. NELSON (NEE GIVEN) MUNSTER, IN Frances A. Nelson (nee Given), age 93 of Munster, IN, passed away at home on April 13, 2013. She is survived by her loving son, Dr. William (Leslie) Nelson; her devoted sister, Bebe (Tonney) Hirsh of Baltimore, MD; step grandchildren: Melissa Neff of Missoula, MT and Gregory Neff of Maui, HI; and many nieces and nephews. Frances was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Harry Nelson; her daughter, Faye Susan; her son, Larry S. Nelson; and her sisters: Sylvia (Herbert) Levin and Zelda Rozanski. Frances was a past president of Hadassah. She was also chairman of the NWI Jewish Federation-Women's Division in 1962. Frances was very involved with many Jewish charities. Funeral services will be held at Burns-Kish Funeral Home, 8415 Calumet Ave., Munster, IN on Tuesday April 16, 2013. Visitation will be from 10:00-11:00 a.m. with a service at 11:00 a.m. with Rabbi Ben Kramer officiating. Interment will be at Beth El Cemetery, Portage, IN.
