OBITUARY FLORENCE MCRAE1942-2010It is with profound sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of our beautiful mother and grandmother, Florence McRae, on September 16, 2010. Dean McCunn (Ellen), Dan McCunn (Lisa), Tracey McCunn (Danny) and Tiffany McCunn (Tony) and their children Michael, Thomas, Evan, Charlotte, Zachary, Alexandra and Elizabeth were all looking forward to spending more time with Mom/Nana as she planned her well deserved retirement. Born in Pointe St. Charles to parents George and Florence, whom Mom loved so dearly, she leaves behind her much beloved siblings George, Evelyn, Tommy, Alfie (predeceased) and Donald. She will also be missed by her breakfast buddy, Cheryl, confidante and friend Diane, and her many friends and colleagues at Vopak and within the petrochemical industry. A special thanks to the doctors and staff at the Royal Victoria Hospital (Drs. Campbell, Zheng and Hutchinson and all the wonderful nurses on ward 6-M) for their care and support. Mom was passionate that no child should ever suffer and as such, in memory of Mom, please do something to make a child's life better. Visitation will take place at Rideau Funeral Home, 4275 boul. Des Sources, DDO, 514-685-3344, on Friday, October 1 from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. followed by a reception. In lieu of flowers, donation to a children's charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated.
