HOULTON - Emily W. Clifford, 79, died July 2, 2008, in Houlton. She was born Feb. 1, 1929, in Portland, the daughter of James and Madelyn (Whitmore) McFarland. Emily graduated from Waterville High School and married Charles R. Clifford Jr. on June 16, 1951. She was employed at Keyes Fibre Co. for many years. She is survived by her husband of 57 years; four children, Carolyn and her husband, Nigel Musgrave, of Newport, R.I., William Clifford, Susan and her husband, Jon McLaughlin, all of Houlton, and Elizabeth Adamz of Blackstone, Mass.; six grandchildren, James, Lisa and Andrew Musgrave, Joshua, Sarah and Jason McLaughlin; two great-grandchildren, Dawson McLaughlin and Lillian Musgrave; sister Margaret Kubicki of Pittsfield, Mass.; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son-in-law, Craig Adamz; her sister, Patricia Prescott; and her brother, Robert McFarland. A graveside service will be at 1 p.m. on Saturday, July 5, at St. Mary's Cemetery, Houlton, with Deacon Albert Burleigh officiating.
