MANCHESTER - Emile W. Fredette, 90, died Oct. 23, 2012, at his residence. He was born in Bedford on June 22, 1922, the son of the late Albert and Emma Fradette. He was a lifelong resident of this area. He was an Army veteran of World War II with service in the Pacific theatre and served in the Army Reserves following the war. Prior to his retirement in 1986 he had been employed as a technician and supervisor at Sanders Associates for more than 25 years. He received a certificate of study in electronics from the New Hampshire Technical Institute. He was predeceased by his wife, Rita (Hughes) Fredette, on Dec. 19, 1992. Emile had been a communicant of the former OLPH parish. He was a member of the VFW and Sweeney Post American Legion. He always enjoyed reading and gathering with his friends at Belmont Hall. Above all else, he enjoyed spending time with his family, especially through the holidays. Family members include a daughter, Deborah Stewart and her husband, Jim of Manchester; a son, Robert T. Fredette and his wife, Diana Seitz of Manchester; two grandchildren, Lauren Stewart of New York City and Liza Stewart of Boston; a sister, Yvette Lamontagne of Manchester and nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife, he was predeceased by his brothers, Henry Fredette, Roger Fradette and a sister, Jeannette (Fradette) Bucchieri. . SERVICES: There are no calling hours. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Saturday at 10 a.m. in St. Catherine Church, corner of Webster and Hemlock streets. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Bedford.
