Avis de décès de Emelianne-Mary St

Emelianne Mary St. George-Joly March 11, 1923 - April 12, 2009 FLORIDA - Emelianne Joly (86), affectionately known as Millie to family and friends, passed into the Lord's embrace at 2:30 a.m. on Easter Sunday, April 12, 2009. She died peacefully in her sleep under the watchful and caring eyes of the medical staff and volunteers of Hope Hospice at Health Park in Fort Myers, FL. Millie was the tenth of thirteen children born to Joseph and Laura St. George in the small town of Saint Michelle near Montreal in the Quebec Province of Canada. She grew up in Taftville, CT. where she would meet her husband of 48 years, Leo Joly, who went home to the Lord 19 years ago. Together they nurtured a family of two daughters; Bernice (Ernest) Mossey of Cape Coral, FL., Andrea McCall of Fort Myers, FL., and Rev. Philip Joly also of Cape Coral, FL. She also has five grandchildren; Michelle (Berry) Allen, Luke (Shelly) Mossey, Christopher Mossey (Jamie Smarr), Erica (Bradley) Schricker, Danielle McCall and five great-grandchildren; Quinn and Kianna Mossey, Patrick Smarr, and Hannah and Ethan Schricker. In addition to these she is survived by her sisters Lucille (Monte) DiPalma, Rhea Durand, Gervaise Gauvin, and Jeannine LaMothe all from Connecticut. Her sisters Mina, Yvette, Palma, Gabriel, Fern, Mary, and her brothers Eddie and Sylvio have also preceded her in the Resurrection to new life. Millie will be remembered for a heart always ready to give and forgive. She will be remembered for her love of singing and story-telling and joking. She was a devoted wife and mother, and took tremendous joy in her grand and great-grandchildren. She loved parties and picnics and family reunions. The annual St. George Reunion was one of her favorite events of the year when she was able to catch up with her sisters in CT as well as her numerous nieces and nephews. She was everyone's favorite Tante (French for Aunt). So, to Mom, to Memere, to Mimi, to Tante Millie we say thank you for the life you so abundantly shared with us. We thank you for the gift of our lives. We will miss you greatly, and we love you very much. Visitation will take place on Sunday April 19 from 2 to 4p.m. and 6 to 8p.m. at Coral Ridge Funeral Home (1630 Pine Island Rd., Cape Coral, FL. 33991). A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Andrew Catholic Church (2628 Del Prado Blvd., S., Cape Coral, FL. 33904) on Monday April 20 at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers please make a donation on the family's behalf to Hope Hospice ( 9470 HealthPark Circle., Ft. Myers, FL. 33908) or to the Saint Andrew School Endowment Fund.
