WHITING, Elizabeth Theresa "Betty" March 9, 1922 - April 20, 2010 On April 20th Elizabeth (Betty) Whiting passed away peacefully at the age of 88 years. She will join her loving husband Thomas (Tony) in eternal life. Betty will be sadly missed by her four children Fred (Karen), Dan, Bev (Bruce) and Shelley; eight grandchildren, Jeffrey (Cassandra), Shauna (Luke), Michael, Cameron (Katherine), Janet, Travis, Caprice and Tague; and two great-grandchildren Kalyn and Eric. Betty is survived by her beloved sister, Vera, and by two sisters-in-law Dora Gines and Mary Whiting and by several nieces, nephews and friends. Betty was predeceased by her parents George and Mary Elizabeth (Lizzie) Gines, her brother George Gines and her brother-in-law Leo Shuckburgh. A Celebration of Life will be held at Hainstock's Funeral Home, 9810-34 Avenue, Edmonton on Saturday, April 24, 2010 at 1:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Alberta, 10985 - 124 Street Edmonton, T5M 0H9 would be greatly appreciated.
